We’ve all been there, getting caught up day dreaming of the dream life that we want, waiting for a miracle to happen – a big win on the lottery, a chance win on a bet, anything that would just get us to our dream in the quickest possible way.
But the chances are for most people, none of these things will happen and I am not just saying this to be negative, it is just the reality. The reality is that we make our own luck and we should focus on creating our dreams for ourselves.
If you really want something then why haven’t you gone out and got it? You may say, because it’s not that easy, it’s not that simple but how do you know if you have never really tried.
What is it that you really want?
Can you picture your perfect day?
What would your career be, who would you be with and what would you be doing?
And I don’t just mean the fantasy of chilling with your favourite celebrity on a private jet!
I mean something real, something that you would want to be doing everyday – career, hobby, time with family & friends?
For me, I wanted a life that had financial freedom, that would allow me to travel and spend more time with my family, where I wasn’t constrained by a career that I didn’t enjoy. I didn’t want to spend another 20 years earning ok money, at an ok job and lining the pockets of someone I didn’t even know.
I decided that I needed something else that interested me, that would allow me to earn the money I wanted and that would provide me with a sense of achievement. You can check out more about my journey on my ‘about’ page.
But for now, I want you to focus on yourself and working out where you want to go.
Have a go, note down all your ideas of the above and then pick one to focus on.
The world is changing and creating so many opportunities for people to make their life’s what they want – the only question is will you be one of them?
If nothing else I hope this has got you thinking, it really is time to start investing in yourself and creating the life that you want! Everything you do now is for your future so go and start building!
It may not be easy, there may be days when you think ‘why do I bother, just stick to the easy route that gives me the basics of what I need’. But all you have to do is take time to re-focus, remember why you started and picture the end goal.
If you’d just like to find out more about why I got started then check out my ‘about‘ page, alternatively if you just want to skip straight to the career that put me on the course for changing my future then check out my ‘how it works page. Enjoy reading!
