How do you feel each morning when you wake up and get ready for a day at work?

If you are feeling any kind of negative feelings like I had then it may just be worth taking 1 minute of your time to read on.

We spend so much time each year at work but the majority of us don’t value that time. We believe that it’s supposed to be hard and stressful to earn money so we just look forward to the weekend and the three weeks a year that we earn off.

But it doesn’t have to be like that.

When you love what you do, every day can be exciting, and of course there will always be those days where not everything goes right and it can be overwhelming, but imagine if that wasn’t the norm, just an anomaly in the week that we then forget about when the next day gets back to normal.

This is what it should be like.

Unfortunately, so few of us really try and make this happen for ourselves. For me, I had reached a point that had led me to be extremely unfulfilled with my career. I was beginning to resent spending so much time at work (my hours were always increasing without any increase in pay) and it got to a point where I forced myself to really face what was in front of me – could I continue on like this for the next x amount of years?

Once I took the first and hardest step, I found that everything started to fall into place, I gave myself no option to turn back and once I had committed to making a change I was surprised at how quickly i made it happen. I think the major difference was that I was enjoying what I was doing, as I said above when you love what you do it can really make a difference!

To get started all you have to do is think about what it is that you truly want from your career? Where will you be in a year if you don’t start making a change today?

Set yourself a time limit, formulate a plan and you will be surprised out how quickly things can change.

So, I hope if nothing else this has got you thinking. You deserve more than just another day at work, you deserve to love what you do. You just need to go out and get it!

You can find out more about how I got started on my about page, alternatively feel free to get in contact and let me know where you’re currently at and most importantly where you are heading for.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being excited about what could go right and whatever you decide to do just take one step today towards leaving the work dread behind!
